Ya'll should thank me for being such a RESPONSIBLE p.e rep. See how I emphasized that word :) But yeah, that's crap. All I hafta say is urm, no mass PE till 22nd March and, student officials need not go to the stadium for any heats.

I think It would be an understatement to say that ya'll are quite unaware of what events you're in or when it is. If you really do want to run/jump, look at the papers beside the whiteboard (on the left), everything is there. What events you're in, when it is and where it is. However, if you do not wish to run/jump, ask the reserve if they're willing to do it, if they're not, then forget about it, I don't want to force any of you. And don't do it for my sake alright, do it for the class. If ya'll don't want to do it for the class bcos of some weird reasons then fine, it's not really my problem. I know it's indignant for those who really want the class to win, but we can't help it if they're not willing to :)

Hey all!! Back to the homework life.
But before I begin, I would like to just say that there WAS Sports Heats today. :( But most of you pratas didn't turn up, even the ones who were competing.. :'( Wahh! And it was so sad, just me and Henrietta, who came with her sister, were there. :(Just a reminder for future events: In the case we miss our E-announcements, or don't know when the event is, it might be a good idea to SMS our subject reps, or, to be safe, just check the noticeboard regularly. ok? This blog is also a source of that kind of info, so you can check here too.

And even if one class wins, and they don't show unity at all, I don't think they deserve the prize. So yeah, hope y'll show class unity as like a class? And not bcuz' you wanna win this prize (:

WARNING-- Currently, we have so much homework as to make me feel happy that I have enough content to post about. ;)

HOMEWORK::

Chinese Journal. Write an entry for Monday, obviously. ^.^
Chinese Letter-writing. Do on Gao Zi, the one on what we do to celebrate the New Year.
CE wksheet. "Goal Setting" Worksheet with the funny tree, where you write how you can achieve your goals and stuff.
History wksheet. Source A (text), on Indus Civilisation. Write looong answers per normal, please. :)
Geography wksheet. The one on Map Reading/Measuring Distance. You can use a piece of string for (B) then measure the markings.
Math corrections. Do corrections for Addition & Subtraction of Integers, supp ex. 4.
Math Notes (2). Do NOT read them! They shall pollute our minds, making us v.v.v. confused. :) Do just the questions as practice.
Poem Journal alert. Write about your thoughts and research about the Sea poem, and Break Break Break. Do the same for the poem on Friendship, which we are supposed to find. If you have any trouble, you can go to the website I'm using. XD www.poemhunter.com
Lit wksheet. About "Questions for Break Break Break by Tennyson". We all HAVE to do it, you know. -.-"

I know this might be how you're feeling right now. Which is quite sad. Not only for the PE reps but also for the whole class. It's not like it's FUN forcing you to sign up. I know how you feel when you're not actually very good at running but we keep asking you to sign up, yeah, it's annoying. But put yourselfs in our shoes, imagine you are a PE rep and hardly anyone is signing up for sports day. I don't really think it's nice having your name down on an event you really hate. So yeah, I apologize If I have been harsh or anything (: Sorry.

Prata Y: Oh my gosh! Prata G is in our group for captain's ball! She's slow slow! How are we going to win?

Prata Y: PE reps fault lor, anyhow put us in teams.

Another example on how you might HATE us, PE reps. We're playing this game not because we want to be the best team but for the class! For 1PR! Not for your team! And is it fair if in Team 6, it's all the less sporty people and in team 5, all the faster players are there? The PE reps are doing this for the class' good, not because we really want to split you up. Most of the friends you wanted to be with are still with you, but some of them might not. This is also a time to start making new friends, to start bonding and not always stay in a group and leave others out. So I really hope you all understand. Sorry, once again.

Okay. This post is one important post. You have to take note of TWO things.

1. MESSENGER PLUS. Those who have messenger plus PLEASE uninstall it. it's a trojan horse. Trojan horses are those kind of virus that comes in a 'package' that looks like it doesnt contain like one. It actually has Adware and Spyware and it always have lots of popups and all. Anyway i was told that the person who wants to hack into your computer will be a little bit.. odd. because it's VERY difficult to connect to your computer and there's not much info in your computer that the hacker might want. BUT still, please uninstall it.

2. KEYLOGGERS. ok this is one BAD BAD thing. you go to a website, and u won't even know a keylogger has attacked ur computer. Keyloggers can record what you type and even your passwords! so it's better to avoid certain particular websites.

But just in case you're not sure if there's a keylogger in your website, you can try these steps out. (please ignore the 'habbo' stuff parts. xD)

If you have a keylogger on your computer then you should do the following:

If you were already logged into Habbo when you accepted and installed the keylogger then you can remain logged in, do not enter any password or personal information until you are 100% sure you have removed the keylogger.

Step One
The most common keylogger affecting Habbo Hotel is only picked up by three scanning software packages, they are the only ones we have found that will detect this keylogger, and only two that will remove it.
Go to http://mcafee.com/ and download the free on-line virus scan. You will need to create an account or you can't log on using Microsoft Net passport. The download and scan will take some time so be patient it is worth it.
When the scan has finished you will be presented with a list of infected files, print off this page off if possible or make a note of them as you will need to know the names later. Manually deleting of these files will not resolve the keylogger problem as there also will be several entries in the registry that require deletion. Also Windows ME and XP will have a restore section which may automatically replace the deleted files.
Two files are generated when the keylogger is activated along with 14 registry entries. Unfortunately the original sender of the keylogger is able to choose from a list of nine different file names or create a name of their own this is why it is important to note down the files that mcafee finds.
This is a list of the known filenames: -

ntvdcsm.exe/ntvdcsm.dll
secsrvc.exe/secsrvc.dll
sclkchk.exe/scklchk.dll

tapiexex.exe/tapiexec.dll
win_spool2.exe/win_spool2.dll
Step Two
Go to www.download.com and search for "Anti-spy" within downloads, then download the trial version of Anti-spy.info 1.
When you run "Anti-spy" it will list everything that is running on your pc and also rate its danger potential. you can then right-click the files that match the list provided by Mcafee and quarantine them. Any registry entries will also be deleted.
Step Three
Have you got a firewall installed, if not, go to http://smb.sygate.com/buy/download_buy.htm and download Sygate Personal Firewall. Please take special note of any process that may try to connect to the internet in the future. A good firewall will prevent keyloggers sending data to its originator but is no replacement for scanning all downloaded files before activation.
Step Four
Go to http://webroot.com and download the trial version of Spysweeper and do a complete hard drive scan. This will detect the keylogger, which is now inactive and quarantined, and delete it along with all the corresponding registry entries.

If you're good at standing broad jump, you can sign up for long jump.
If you're good at 1.6, PLEASE, PLEASEEE sign up for either 800m or 1500m.
If you're good at shuttle run, PLEASEEEE sign up for either 100m, 200m or 400m.
If you're good at throwing stuff, you can sign up for shot put. Which is actually very easy. You just need to throw a ball. =P
If you're not very tall, but can actually jump higher than girls taller than you, I bet you'd do very well in high jump.
And you can even form a group of 4 and run either 4x100m or 4x400m.

It dosen't really matter if you win or loose, no one will scold you or anything. There's no point being forced to join an event, wouldn't it be better if you choose an event you like? ;D I'm desperate! So PLEASEEEE sign up.

I think I've made my point. Yup. Ha ha. CIAOOO!

Hello! Ms Eileen Chong here. Kudos (thanks) to Lauren and Serena(?) for setting up the blog.

We should start with some housekeeping (like in class, haha)

Blog Rules:

Any ideas for some blog rules so that this won't go crazy? We need:

1. Content Management: what can be said here, and cannot? I would say: NO flaming, especially of teachers and of one another. You shouldn't even do that on your own blogs - I just read that in Ireland some girls of a top girls' school were suspending for "online bullying".

2. Template: should be easy to navigate and read
- please ah aunties, don't put light colours on light backgrounds/dark colours on dark backgrounds etc. So troublesome to highlight and read.

3.Regularity of Updating: How regular must our updates be - official especially?
Class reps or someone else who is comfortable maintaining info should update class calendar (simple sidebar should be enough, events of the month, birthdays, tests, etc.)

Oh dear, I am so long-winded. I will also use this to put up interesting links, especially to writing, poetry, and funny, whimsical things.

If we are committed to using this blog in a proper, responsible manner, it will work. If not, it MUST be shut down and erased off the face of the earth :(
